MONARK AS

Monark AS were founded in 1958  with the intention to serve the Norwegian market with high quality drilling tools, which we did for many years. The first 13 years the company focused on the large construction and quarry market in Norway, until the management was contacted by the large drilling tools producer Boart. The management in the Boart family wanted to approach the Scandinavian market and found that the best way was to invest in Monark.

In 1971 Monark became a part of the Boart Longyear family; this was the start of Boart Longyear Norway. When our company became a part of Boart Longyear we started to serve all corners off the globe with drilling tools.

We were a part of the Boart Longyear family until 2005 when the management in Norway got the opportunity to take over the production in Norway as an independent company. It was then decided to go back to the former company name; Monark AS.

Monark AS is now a independent company known for our good quality products and skilled staff. We deliver drilling tools to 45 countries and is among the largest producers off small hole drill steel.
